Salomon, a producer and seller of premium footwear, winter sports and mountaineering equipment, hiking equipment and apparel, appointed Guillaume Meyzenq as vice president of the company’s footwear category.
Meyzenq, who has been an employee at Salomon since 1996, was previously in the role of vice president of commercial footwear. In his new position, he will support Jean-Marc Pambet, who serves a double role as president of Salomon and president of footwear for Amer Sports, the parent company of Salomon.
“Guillaume has delivered strong contributions to Footwear projects during the past eight years, gathering the required competencies and leadership to take on this new responsibility,” said Pambet. “He has multicultural and business experience, he has managed product creation, and he has expertise in commercial activities.”
Meyzenq will now be responsible for innovation, product marketing, design, development, sourcing, sales and operation planning and commercial for the Salomon footwear category.
“I’m thrilled to take on this expanded role as vice president of footwear for the Salomon brand,” said Meyzenq. “Since starting my career at Salomon in 1994, I have been privileged to be a part of the evolution of the brand and of the Footwear category in particular. I look forward to leading our passionate and experienced Footwear team as we continue to grow our trail running leadership position, expand into road running, and evolve our pioneering hiking and mountaineering range. Our goal is to continue to introduce new innovations and consumer experiences.”
