Entrepreneur and founder of the Def Jam music label Russell Simmons is opening a yoga studio in Los Angeles called Tantris. Simmons is also coming out with a lifestyle yoga brand that will bring apparel and accessories under the same moniker.
“I was inspired to build the Tantris Yoga Center and Retail Store from my natural progression as a devoted Yogi, in which I’m committed to a lifestyle of practice, meditation, vegan diet, activism and an eco-friendly environment,” said Simmons.
The new studio, located at 9200 Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood, is projected to open this fall and was inspired by the asana practice. Judging by the design renderings, the physical location will be more of a wellness center than a plain studio.
