SnowSports Industries America and RSN are teaming up to produce four on-location telecasts of RSN's gear program, “The Goods.” The show will preview and review the people, gear, events, and parties that will comprise SIA.06, taking place in Las Vegas Jan. 23-26.

1980 and 1984 Olympic skier and “RSN Outdoors” co-host Doug Lewis will be joined by Beth Lahr, co-host of “The RSN Lounge,” for daily programs that will be broadcast from RSN's location in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and seen on the in-house channels at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Luxor and Excalibur properties during the Show.

Doug will be stationed at “home base,” RSN's interview set, talking with snow sports celebrities and champions, along with gear reps. Beth will be set loose to roam the floor. She'll find out what's new in the industry and also document the parties and outside events — such as the Sunday night fashion show — that make SIA.06 a must-attend event.

This content will be cut into a 20-minute daily version of “The Goods.”

“The exciting part of being at SIA.06 is that it will give RSN a chance to chronicle the gear and the people that make the snow sports industry so dynamic while at the same time allowing us to create post-show DVDs that will be distributed to those in attendance,” said RSN President Jeff Dumais. “On top of that, we plan to edit the SIA.06 video into half-hour versions of 'The Goods' for broadcast on the entire RSN network in February and March and again in early autumn.”

RSN will field a crew of nine producers, on-air talent, editors, photographers, and production assistants to capture the ins and outs of the trade show. Close to 900 brands and 17,000 attendees are anticipated to attend the most valuable business event in the snow sports industry.

“Partnering with RSN helps us to achieve one of our main goals in helping suppliers to move product,” stated Alicia Allen, associate director of PR. “Working with such an experienced team will allow us to develop an authentic product and reach those consumers that define are core audience.”

RSN's subscriber base is just over 1.3 million subscribers in 105 beach and mountain resort markets around the country. RSN has an annual potential unduplicated reach of 52 million viewers, based on turnover of audience, occupancy rates at the resorts and other factors.
