Ron Jon Surf Shop has selected Aptos Digital Commerce to implement a major overhaul of its e-commerce site in a bid to enhance its digital brand experience.
Headquartered in Cocoa Beach, Fla., the retailer operates 13 stores in the U.S. and is growing with recent store openings in Orlando and the Alabama Gulf Coast. In conjunction with the expansion of its physical locations, the company is investing in Aptos technology to grow its e-commerce business to support an improved and more personalized online customer experience.
As a recognized worldwide icon for the surf and beach lifestyle, the company’s flagship 52,000-square-foot Cocoa Beach, Fla. store is the world’s largest surf shop and is open 24-hours-a-day, 365-days-a-year. Along with surfboards, skateboards and home décor, the company sells its own line of apparel as well as merchandise from surf culture and lifestyle brands such as Billabong and Hurley. Ron Jon also has licensed stores in several airports and abroad in Cozumel, Mexico and Turks & Caicos.
In addition to leveraging Aptos’ Digital Commerce and Enterprise Order Management solutions, the retailer will rely on Aptos to fully design the new website, revamping its entire e-commerce presence in a streamlined 180-day implementation.
The new site will feature responsive design to support optimal viewing and navigation across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones). As well, the platform will enable Ron Jon to showcase rich content to convey the look and feel of its surf lifestyle brand while attracting new visitors, and helping improve site conversion.
