Rome SDS is partnering with BBPR for non-endemic public relations and marketing efforts for the launch of their 2009 product line.  As mainstream media continue to cover action sports, BBPR will vet product requests and seek out new opportunities that are appropriate for Rome to take advantage of.

Bill Byrne, BBPR’s founder, will take the lead on managing the program.  Bill got his first taste of snowboarding on the icy slopes of New Jersey’s Vernon Valley resort in 1992 and five years later joined the public relations team of another major snowboard brand.

“While the majority of riders get their information about Rome from the snowboarding magazines, videos and the Web, it’s obvious that many people also use other channels to discover what’s going on in snowboarding,” stated Ryan Runke, Rome SDS marketing manager. “BBPR not only has a solid foundation in snowboarding, but also the inherent knowledge of what Rome stands for, two pre-requisites for anyone looking to join our ranks.  I have no doubt BBPR will act as an authentic representative of the SDS when dealing with media that don’t have the word snowboard in their title.”
