Rocky Shoes & Boots, Inc. announced that David Fraedrich, Senior Vice President, Treasurer and Director of the Company, died on June 14, 2003 after suffering a stroke.
David Fraedrich, 54, joined the Company in 1971 and served in several executive management positions since 1975. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 1992 and was instrumental in the Company’s initial public offering. Mr. Fraedrich served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of the Company from October 1992 to June 2001. In addition, he was Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Lifestyle and Five Star, wholly-owned subsidiaries of Rocky Shoes & Boots, Inc., since November 1988 and March 1987, respectively.
Mr. Fraedrich joined the Company following graduation from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
