Aspen/Snowmass skiers and riders will continue to see a lot of the RLX logo as RLX Ralph Lauren announced that it will be the official uniform supplier to Aspen Skiing Company for another four years. RLX was previously awarded the Aspen/Snowmass uniform program in 1998, the year the RLX line was launched.
The RLX design team worked closely with Aspen/Snowmass to develop a new line of uniforms specifically designed and colored for ski and snowboard instructors, ski patrol, mountain operations, guest services, pipes & parks crew, powder tours, ambassadors and mountain photographers for Snowmass, Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk. In the off-season, RLX will provide uniforms for the Mountain Bike Rangers.
RLX partnered with Gore-Tex(R), PrimaLoft(R), Schoeller(R) and Malden(R) to provide the latest in fiber and fabric technology. The high performance outerwear, insulating and layering pieces are designed to meet the demands of these professionals and endure extreme conditions.
“We are excited to continue our relationship with Aspen,” said Steve Rogerson, Senior Director Marketing, RLX Ralph Lauren. “Being selected among other leading brands by one of America's premiere resorts is a testimony to RLX's design and execution ability.”
“At Aspen/Snowmass, we take uniforms seriously,” said John Rigney, Managing Director of Event Marketing for Aspen Skiing Company. “The functionality and aesthetics of the clothing that our employees wear are of paramount importance. We searched the planet to find the best possible garments, and once again, RLX was the obvious choice.”
The Aspen uniform program is the design inspiration for RLX's Fall 2003 winter sports, cycling and endurance line that will be available this Fall at Ralph Lauren stores and specialty ski and outdoor retailers across the country.
