Foothill Ranch, CA-performance eyewear brand, Revo, announced that it will serve as a national sponsor as well as the official eyewear sponsor for the 2012 REEL ROCK Film Tour which begins this fall in select cities worldwide.

The REEL ROCK Film Tour brings the most exciting climbing and adventure films of the year to live audiences. With over 300 screenings and an audience of more than 100,000, REEL ROCK has quickly grown into one of the biggest climbing events in the world.

Both Revo and the Tour independently encourage an adventurous spirit, and a shared mission to get more people outdoors. Revo strives to enhance outdoor experiences for its wearers on land, water and snow, through premium polarized eyewear. Through its network of retailers, climbing gyms and climbing clubs, the Tour aims to expand the community of outdoor adventure seekers by bringing them together to view these adventure films in a fun, social setting.

“This partnership is multi-faceted for us,” said Julie Schaffner, Revo Brand Director. “While we share many of the same goals, we’re also proud to support the Tour’s mission to spotlight some of climbing’s best talent both in front of and behind the camera, including our own Revo Ambassador, Jimmy Chin.”

Revo Ambassador and adventure photographer, Jimmy Chin, will be featured during the Tour in a short edit film based around his recent ascent of one of the world’s most challenging Himalayan routes, the Shark’s Fin of Meru.

Revo is held by the Luxottica Group.
