Based in Carbondale, CO, Revel Bikes hired Ben Coates as president and chief operating officer. Coates brings over 15 years of experience in the cycling industry to Revel, having previously served as a director for both POC and Trek.
In his new role, Coates will lead company operations, drive strategic initiatives and expand Revel’s industry reach.

Coates’ rise through the industry began with a sales position at a local bike shop, followed by his role as head mechanic for the Subaru/Gary Fisher Factory MTB Team. From there, he moved to Trek, working as a team liaison, road product manager and eventually director of Road Bicycles and Project One. His most recent position was with POC, as managing director for North America.
