Retro Fitness named Larry Strain as chief development officer. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the franchise space, including having worked at Starbucks, McDonald’s and Dunkin’ Donuts. Most recently, Strain helped transition Potbelly Sandwich Works to a franchise-focused growth model.

As chief development officer, Strain is responsible for the design and execution of Retro Fitness’ growth plan, including domestic and international markets. He oversees multi-unit territory development, investor relations, franchise sales, and recruitment efforts and leads real estate development.

“Bringing in an industry heavyweight like Larry was a strategic move that adds serious muscle to an already strong management team,” said Andrew Alfano, CEO of Retro Fitness. “His proven track record in franchise development, investor relations, and real estate is not only a great compliment to the exciting journey we are already on, but also adds serious horsepower.”

Retro Fitness has over 200 health clubs open or developing in the U.S.
