According to a report from ESPN.com, Oakley has sued Rory McIlroy and Nike, claiming the golfer breached his contract with the brand by signing a new deal with Nike. Nike has yet to acknowledge the Nike sponsorship publicly.

The federal lawsuit filed Monday in Santa Ana, CA charges that while Oakley attempted to use its “right of first refusal” to match Nike's
offer,  McIlroy and agent Conor Ridge ignored the counteroffer. Oakley is seeking an injunction that would halt the Nike deal.

McIlroy's management team told ESPN in a statement that he has fulfilled his obligations to Oakley. Nike hasn't responded to the lawsuit.
