Remington Arms Company and its parent, Freedom Group, Inc. announced said their Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of Theodore (Ted) Torbeck as their CEO and director for both entities, effective September 24th.
Torbeck joined Remington as its Chief Operating Officer in February, 2008, and was promoted to CEO in March 2009. Chairman of the Board, John B. Blystone, said, “We are sorry to see Ted go. He is a first-class leader and has been instrumental in improving product quality, overall productivity and product development. We thank him for all his contributions to the Freedom Group Family of Companies and wish him well in his new role at Cincinnati Bell.”
Blystone will chair the Search Committee of the Board as they conduct a national search for a new CEO. The executive search firm, Heidrick and Struggles, has been retained to assist the Board in the process.
