Soft Star Shoes, makers of hand-crafted soft soled moccasins, slippers and leather shoes produced in Oregon, is making a reinvented Mary Jane style for kids that ditches the tight-toed leather for active-lifestyle materials.
The company, which is known for using natural, eco-friendly materials, will reimagine the stiff Mary Jane style with flexible leather uppers and high-performance Vibram traction soles.
The changes were made to market the old style as an active lifestyle option and promote play for kids. Photos from Soft Star place the shoes on children playing on a rock climbing wall and metal jungle gym.
