REI signed a ten-year lease at Crossgates Mall in Albany, its first store in New York’s capital region.
The lease agreement, first reported by the Albany Business Review, includes the option for three five-year extensions, according to a lease memorandum filed July 25 in the Albany County clerk’s office.
The location is the fourth REI in New York and the second upstate. The other stores are in Rochester, New York City and Long Island.
REI did not disclose further details.
