REI plans to open a store in East Memphis in October 2018, according to a report in the Memphis Daily News.
The store will be in a portion of the space previously occupied by the Sports Authority in Ridgeway Trace Center at Poplar and Interstate 240.
East Memphis will mark REI’s third Tennessee location. The chain, with about 150 stores nationwide, has locations in Brentwood and Knoxville.
