REI said it has become the first national retailer to sell MiiRs inaugural commuter bike line, which includes three models: the single-speed Wave and the five-speed High 5 Diamond and Mixte frames. All models and sizes are now available at five REI stores: Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, Sacramento, CA, Perimeter, GA, and Atlanta, GA.

REI is also making the bikes available online, where customers can order any bike and have it shipped to their local REI store free of charge. For every bike sold, Miir donates a second bike to someone in need in Africa or the U.S.

We are excited to be partnering with REI on distributing our new city bike line and spreading the word about our sustainable giving program, said Bryan Papé, founder and CEO of MiiR. Its a great partnership, as we have a shared ethic of helping people in our community and around the world.

REI is selling the five-speed High5 and the single-speed Wave. The High5, available in the Diamond or Mixte frame, was recently featured in the Outside Magazine 2013 Summer Buyers Guide. It suitable for casual rides around town and a reliable everyday commuter. The chromoly frame and fork are designed to fit racks or fenders for customization. The Sturmey Archer internal five-speed hub is great for cruising the flats but also gives you gear options to help conquer those hills you find along the way. The High5 retails for $899.

The Waveis MiiRs take on the single-speed commuter and is designed to be simple and reliable with undeniable style so you can enjoy the ride as you turn heads. Keep it chill with the freewheel, or flip the rear hub and have fun riding it as a fixed gear. The chromoly frame and fork are designed with plenty of room for fenders or a rack. The Wave retails for $699.
