Kerby Jean-Raymond, the Pyer Moss founder, announced he is leaving Reebok effective March 1 on the heels of Adidas, Reebok’s owner of 16 years, prepares the company for sale to Authentic Brand Group (ABG) for $2.46 billion. The deal is expected to close by the end of the first quarter.
“I enjoyed my time with Reebok and wish the company well in all of its future endeavors,” said Jean-Raymond.
Jean-Raymond founded the New York men’s and women’s apparel label Pyer Moss in 2013. His partnership with Reebok began in 2017 with the debut of the Reebok by Pyer Moss collection. In 2020, the company promoted him to vice president of creative direction, responsible for Reebok’s global design direction reporting directly to president Matt O’Toole.
“We want to sincerely thank Kerby for his many contributions to Reebok,” O’Toole said in a statement. “The positive impact he has made on the brand will be felt for years to come. We wish him the very best.”
The final collection from Reebok by Pyer Moss is scheduled to arrive at retail in late March.
