Justin Kittredge, senior product manager for Reebok`s Basketball Division and president and founder of the basketball non-profit, Shooting Touch, Inc., achieved two new basketball world records. The first is for the amount of unassisted free throws made in two minutes.

By completing 64 free throws in 120 seconds, averaging a basket every 1.875 seconds, Mr. Kittredge achieved the Guinness World Records record previously held at 60 shots by Olympic silver medalist and basketball star, Laurent Sciarra, of Paris, France. After practicing at Reebok, International headquarters in Canton, MA, Mr. Kittredge achieved the new world record onsite on May 14, 2009.

The second world record is for the amount of blindfolded free throws made in one minute. By completing 16 free throws in 60 seconds, Mr. Kittredge achieved his second Guinness World Records record previously held at 5 shots by NBA star Chauncey Billups of the Denver Nuggets. Kittredge achieved the second new world record also onsite at Reebok, International headquarters on July 14, 2009, although just recently confirmed by Guinness World Records LTD.

As a passionate and enthusiastic teacher of the game, Kittredge holds basketball instruction clinics for young men and women in and around the City of Boston through Shooting Touch Inc. His clinics, held at the Boston Athletic Club, focus on teaching the fundamentals involved in all aspects of the game.

“By accomplishing this world record, I hope it will encourage the young men and women I work with at Shooting Touch, Inc. that they too can achieve anything if they set their mind to it,” said Kittredge. “Basketball is an effective vehicle to teach our youth about a variety of valuable skills that can be used both on and off the court. With this premise in mind, I hope to grow our organization so more men and women benefit from the positive affects the sport can have on developing adolescents.”
