The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Reebok-CCM Hockey's EP20K Senior (SR) Hockey Elbow Pads. The molded foam padding inside the elbow pads can become cracked, fractured or split, which poses a risk of injury to the elbow.

One incident in Canada  resulted in a broken elbow.

About 2,100 were sold in the United States and 1,600 in Canada. The manufacturer was Sport Maska Inc. of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and the distributor was Reebok-CCM Hockey Inc. of Montpelier, VT.

The  recall involves the Reebok EP20K Senior (SR) Hockey Elbow Pads
with, all-foam elbow caps. The pads are white with grey and black
colored fabric. The word Reebok appears on the upper and lower arm
sections of each elbow pad, and the words 20K PRO appears on the forearm
of each pad. There are three Velcro brand closure bands on each elbow
pad. The product code K101SR EP20K is located on the inside label of
each elbow pad and on the outside of the polybag in which some products
were packaged. The elbow pad comes in S, M, L and XL.

Consumers are being advised to stop using the recalled elbow pads and
return the product to place of purchase for a full refund or
replacement, or return the product directly to Reebok- CCM Hockey Inc.
for a replacement.
