Citing defective forks, Seattle Bike Supply of Kent, WA has issued a voluntary recall on 2010 Redline Conquest Cyclocross bicycles and framesets, sold through authorized bicycle specialty stores nationwide from July 2009 through May 2010.

Upon review, the company found that the fork’s legs can separate from the fork crown and cause the rider to lose control, posing a fall hazard. About 330 of the units were purchased by consumers.

At present, the company has received five repots of cracks near the fork’s crown, though no serious injuries have occurred.  Consumers are advised to cease use of the related products and contact their local Redline bicycle dealer to receive a free fork replacement.
