RECALL: Brine Lacrosse Gloves

Brine Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of about 7,000 youth and adult Brine VIP lacrosse gloves. Screen printing ink used on the silver triad logo on the back of the glove contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. The units were sold from July 2009 and June 2010 for about $50.

RECALL: Brine Lacrosse Gloves

Brine Inc. announced the the voluntary recall of about 7,000 youth and
adult Brine VIP lacrosse gloves. Screen printing ink used on the silver
triad logo on the back of the
glove contains excessive levels of lead, violating the federal lead
paint standard.

According to a statement from the CPSC, the recall involves black and white Brine VIP lacrosse gloves sold in
three sizes: 10, 12 and 13 inches. The name “Brine” is printed in white
and a silver triad symbol is printed on the back of the glove on the
wrist cuff. They were sold in sporting goods stores nationwide between July 2009 and June 2010 for about $50.
