The Board of Directors of Rapala VMC Corp. appointed Lars Ollberg as president and CEO, effective May 1, 2023. Ollberg was, until June 2022, COO and a global management member of Rapala VMC. He started with Rapala as a plant manager in 1985, holding numerous positions of increasing responsibility since then.
“We are very pleased to appoint Lars Ollberg as our new CEO. He truly possesses the strong leadership skills, profound understanding of our business and solid capabilities required to develop Rapala VMC further,” said Chairman of the Board Louis d’Alançon.
The Board also appointed Cyrille Viellard as deputy CEO, effective May 1, 2023. Viellard is EVP and head of the company’s hook business and has been a member of its global management team since 2015.
The Board appointed Jean-Philippe Nicolle as CFO succeeding the current chief financial officer, who is leaving the company on June 21. Nicolle is currently EVP, head of South-European distribution, and has been a global management team member since 2020. Nicolle was the CFO of Normark France and VMC Pêche from 1997 to 2007,
Victor Skvortsov, EVP and head of Russian distribution resigned from the global management team effective immediately.
