Rack Room Shoes, Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse have hired new real estate manager for Rack Room Shoes, and a women’s athletic buyer for Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse.
The appointments follow an accelerated growth strategy for the last two years, collectively opening more than 40 new stores nationwide. Expansion will extend into 2016.
Joseph A. Andrews joined Rack Room Shoes with more than 10 years of experience in real estate development and corporate finance and will assume the position of Real Estate Manager. Andrews is tasked with overseeing new store growth in South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. Other responsibilities include managing lease renewals, remodels and relocations for the retailer’s existing portfolio of stores in the Southeastern region. Previously, Andrews has held positions in store development for Kohl’s and Shopko.
On the other side of the business, fashion forward shoe retailer Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse welcomed Matt Wong as the women’s athletic buyer. Wong is responsible for developing an intentional assortment of women’s leading athletic brands that align with the customers’ fashion preferences. Wong’s more than 20 years of experience in the retail industry has equipped him to serve an expanding, national store footprint for the company. Most recently, Wong served as the Women’s, Men’s Running, Cross Training and Casual Women’s buyer for Champs Sports.
