Quiksilver will open a new 3,740-square-foot store in the Village at Mammoth Mountain, on Friday, December 18, which will carry new products from Roxy, DC, Lib-Tech and Gnu’s winter and spring 2010 lines. The store is centrally located in the village’s retail area.

“We’ve had a very natural and complimentary relationship with Mammoth for so many years. The store is simply another step to expand this relationship,” says Dave Rosenberger, VP of Sales for Quiksilver Snow and Young Men’s. “Mammoth is a true rider’s mountain. Having a retail presence in the heart of Mammoth gives Quiksilver a base to best service riders and build our brands’ connection to the community not only with products, but also through events, screenings and contests.

In addition to the full spectrum of outerwear, accessories, snowboards, boots and skis (Roxy), Mammoth visitors and locals will be able to pick up sportswear, footwear for après ski and even swim, for those mandatory hot tub sessions.

“Quiksilver and Mammoth have been partners in terrain park progression for over a decade. What better way to celebrate this amazing partnership than opening a Quiksilver store in The Village at Mammoth?” adds Oren Tanzer, Director of Youth Action Sports at Mammoth Mountain. “When I was told about the possibility of opening a flagship Quiksilver store, I was so thrilled. Now it’s a reality making it even easier for our Unbound Park shredders to get outfitted in their favorite Quiksilver gear.”

Mammoth’s Unbound Terrain Parks and Quiksilver have partnered for over 12 years helping to build creative features including the Main Park’s large skate-inspired pyramid made of steel and coated in clear Lexan plastic. The Unbound crew keeps protected from the elements with Quiksilver outerwear. Additionally, Roxy’s annual Chicken Jam, the largest all-female snowboarding competition in the United States, will return to Mammoth for a third time, March 25-28, 2010.
