PUMA and Sagem Wireless have signed a license agreement to launch a PUMA mobile phone in the second quarter of 2010 prior to the Football World Cup 2010. The license agreement is in line with PUMA’s strategy to move into new categories that complement PUMA’s range of sport and lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories. In partnership with Sagem Wireless, PUMA’s entry into mobile leverages its innovative brand and design skill to improve mobile user experience and connect its community.

The PUMA phone will embrace both sport and style with features, functions, and design that reflect the DNA of the PUMA brand and encourage usage of data and commerce services.

Sagem Wireless is integrating technologies and services into the PUMA Phone to make uniquely PUMA.

“The PUMA Phone will be a milestone in the mobile market as the first mobile device completely tailor designed, from the inside out, with technology and services that improve experience and connect a brand community,” said Thierry Buffenoir, Chief Executive Officer of Sagem Wireless.

The PUMA Phone will be sold through telecom channels and in PUMA stores.
