Protest Sportswear has inked a new partnership with Momentum Distribution to expand its retail network and influence in the U.S. and Canada. The sportswear company is currently sold online in North America and began working with its first regional retailers earlier this year.

Founded over 30 years ago by a group of snowboarders from the Netherlands, the company reported in a media release that it has “grown into an international sports and lifestyle brand with a leading market position in Europe.”

With Momentum Distribution’s over 25 years of experience, Protest Sportswear noted that the company had played a key role in the success of Vans, Arena and Descente.

We’re thrilled to partner with Momentum Distribution,” said Wesley van Wijnbergen, managing director of Protest Sportswear. “Both companies seem to share similar culture and values, making this partnership a natural fit. With Momentum’s strong focus and extensive retail network, we’re confident that this collaboration will help bring our mission—to help everyone ride more—to even more consumers through the best possible products and experiences.”

Claude Roy, CEO of Momentum Distribution, added, “Protest Sportswear is a fantastic addition to our lineup. It is a great and established Dutch brand that has proven itself. “Protest Sportswear’s unique selling proposition lies in its blend of style, functionality, and affordability for various outdoor activities. We’re eager to help bring their collections to more people across North America because there is a strong demand for versatile and sustainable sportswear.”

Protest Sportswear launches two collections a year—a women’s line for summer that includes swimwear, clothing, and a SUP/Surf collection, and a winter line for men and women that includes ski and snowboard items.
