Princeton Tec will kick off their Spectrum Road Show this weekend (April 14-15) at the Appalachian Outdoors Spring Outdoor Expo, in State College, Pa.

Partnering with outdoor retail shops for one-on-one customizing sessions, representatives from Princeton Tec will have all the necessary tools to create custom lights on premises. Shop owners, shop staff, and the public can learn about the Spectrum program and design a light right there before their very own eyes.

During the Spectrum Road Show, custom designed lights will be offered at a discounted price and those involved will have the opportunity to create their personal custom headlamp, learn how a headlamp is made, and mingle with the Princeton Tec team.

The Spectrum custom headlamp program is the first of its kind in the world. The program lets you become chief designer and create a custom headlamp using a 10-color palette to customize six different headlamp parts, plus two headstrap options. Literally millions of custom color combinations exist. The program uses Princeton Tec’s 70-lumen Fuel headlamp, with the Remix (100 lumens) coming soon.

“Taking our Spectrum headlamp customization platform on the road is not only going to be a blast, but it will allow us to educate consumers, shop owners, and shop employees about what the program is all about in an engaging, face-to-face setting,” said Gerard Armendinger, Princeton Tec’s global marketing director. “We’re packing up everything we need to make custom lights on spot including factory fixtures and sounds. It will be an actual Spectrum production line that we are bringing to numerous retail shops and events from now through the summer – we are bringing the customization cafeteria to the people.”

Tentative upcoming Spectrum Road Show locations include: Manchester, Conn., Arlington, Va., Freeport, Maine, New Brunswick, N.J., Kittery, Maine, Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show, Salt Lake City, Utah, New York City, N.Y., Burlington, Vt., and Mahwah, N.J.
