Primark will open a new 37,000-square-foot store at Queens Center in Elmhurst, NY, on December 5. This is the retailer’s second store in Queens, following the opening of its Jamaica Avenue location and its tenth store in New York.

This new store opening comes shortly after Primark signed a new lease in Manhattan’s Herald Square. These openings are part of Primark’s ongoing U.S. expansion, with the Queens Center bringing Primark’s store count to 28 in the U.S. and across 11 states.

“At Primark, we want as many people as possible to look good and feel good about the fashion and essentials they buy for themselves and their families,” said Kevin Tulip, president of Primark U.S. “Opening this new store in Queens Center Mall will help us deliver our amazing value to more New Yorkers just in time for what we know can be a stressful holiday shopping season.”

Primark is an international fashion retailer with over 80,000 employees across 17 countries in Europe and the U.S. Founded in Ireland in 1969 under the Penneys brand, Primark now has 450 stores globally.
