Weston announced the addition of Dani Reyes-Acosta to its team program for 2020/21. Reyes-Acosta is a professional adventure athlete, strategy consultant, advocate, and artist who combines her deep love for all alpine adventures with an Earth-first, inclusivity-informed approach to storytelling, brand-building and education.

“From their countless education-focused events to their scholarship programs to their emphasis on community, Weston brings a much-needed fresh perspective to the snowsports industry,” said Dani Reyes-Acosta. “Weston, as a company and community, represents so many of my own values — sustainability, inclusivity and an emphasis on lifelong learning — makes it an organization I’m proud to support. Weston will help me break down my own barriers as well as assist others in breaking down theirs.

A splitboarder, rock climber, trail runner, volunteer adaptive ski instructor, and part-time van lifer, Reyes-Acosta has been featured in the Washington Post, Women on the Road, the Los Angeles Times, and regional publications throughout the American West. She was first introduced to Weston last year while reviewing the women’s-specific Riva for Outdoor Prolink. Her connection to Weston grew two months later when she received a scholarship to get her AIARE Companion Rescue Certification with Backcountry Babes. She was one of the 37 women that Weston funded throughout last season.

“When I stepped into backcountry adventure over six years ago, I was looking for two main things:  freedom of the hills and a community to hold me close. As I find ways to connect to both those goals, I’ve found that I can cultivate big mountain skills with Weston’s Riva more so than any other board on the market,” said Reyes-Acosta. “And, the more I learned about the brand, the more I felt compelled to support their mission to help skiers and riders find the best versions of themselves in the mountains.”

“From her infectious positive energy to her van dwelling entrepreneurial spirit, Dani is the embodiment of our values at Weston,” says Sean Eno, Marketing Director, Weston. “We are beyond thrilled to welcome her to the team!”
