Oros, the manufacturer of thermal apparel, will release its men’s and women’s urban-meets-outdoor style, storm-ready Gambit Jacket—a shell that excels in cold, wet environments—on October 21.
“We made sure the Gambit Jacket could easily move from one condition to the next without losing its key attributes of comfort, breathability storm readiness and heat retention,” said Oros Co-founder and CEO, Michael Markesbery. “Personally, it’s my new go-to shell for when I’m not sure what my day’s going to bring—which, around Portland, is pretty much always.”
The Gambit integrates a dual-shell design with a waterproof hardshell upper and softshell lower and offers zero-bulk insulative qualities of the brand’s Solarcore* technology. Additional features include:
- “intelligent thermal properties” offering “active and passive ventilation” and rain-ready construction;
- progressive body-mapped Solarcore panels deliver low-bulk warmth and heat retention while allowing for breathability;
- seam-sealed, two-way stretch 20k/20k waterproof recycled polyester enhances the chest, shoulder and arms against precipitation; and
- eco-friendly PFC-free DWR coating bolsters the water-resistant two-way stretch poly/elastane mix around the stomach and torso.
