Just in time for the 2025 edition of the Tour de France, the Norwegian brand Sweet Protection introduces the brand-new Tucker III 2Vi Mips Helmet. The helmet will make its debut at the Tour de France, although it was not specifically designed for this event.
“We know that every detail enhancing performance contributes to achieving our first victory at the Tour. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished through tight collaboration with riders, Formula One aerodynamic experts, and the performance team from Uno-X Mobility. The effort to develop this game-changing aero helmet, ready just ahead of the Tour de France, showcases the dedication of our team as we prepare for one of the year’s most significant races.” —Pascal Herrmann, Global Marketing Leader at Sweet Protection.
Combining cutting-edge technology, lightweight materials, and aerodynamic efficiency, the Tucker III 2Vi Mips Helmet sets a new standard with the Aero Road Helmet Category. Emphasizing safety, comfort, and speed, this specifically designed helmet is for going fast while conserving energy and enhancing overall performance when breaking away from the pack.
The new Tucker III 2Vi Mips helmet will be available in Sweet Protection dealers starting in March 2026.
Experience the Thrill
Developed with expertise from a Formula 1 aerodynamicist and in collaboration with the Uno-X Mobility Cycling Team, this aero-specific cycling helmet excels in breakaway positions, solo efforts, and sprints.
The Tucker III 2Vi Mips is optimized to perform at speeds between 45 km/h and 50 km/h. Because up to 90 percent of some professional races are spent in a breakaway position, the helmet design has undergone extensive testing in wind tunnels and using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis with a focus on optimal performance in the breakaway. Every detail has been tailored for drag reduction and increased speed.
The new Tucker III 2Vi Mips helmet delivers outstanding ventilation with optimized front vents, an advanced internal airflow structure, and a rear duct that efficiently expels fast-moving air. The low-profile design features a straight cut-off at the back and a four-shell construction for a snug fit. The slight chamfer minimizes turbulence to enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The combination of superior ventilation and a precise fit ensures longer, faster, and more comfortable rides.
Sweet Protection’s 360 Occigrip fit system allows for easy on-the-ride fit adjustments and is ponytail compatible for extra comfort. Integrated eyewear storage fits Sweet Protection Sports-Performance glasses, or Snap-on AeroCovers further increase drag reduction.
Certified to exceed EN 1077 and CPSC 1203 standards, the Tucker III 2Vi Mips helmet gives the needed confidence to lead in challenging races.
Apart from the Uno-X Mobility special edition in yellow-black, the helmet will be available in a variety of seasonal and year-round colors, including Burnt Brown, Bronco White, Light Lilac, Matte Black and Satin White.
