Suunto released a software update of new features for its Suunto 2 smartwatch and mobile app.
New updates were also launched for its Suunto 9, 5, and 3 smartwatches touted as the brand’s “biggest in its history” and part of Suunto’s new ‘Adventure Starts Here’ campaign.
“At Suunto, we don’t compromise when it comes to delivering the products that our users need for adventure. Whether it’s premium lifestyle smartwatch features or the outdoor functions necessary to explore the mountains, we provide watches that do it all,” said Heikki Norta, Suunto’s President. “Particularly now, with the increase in outdoor recreation in response to the pandemic, we wanted to deliver more outdoor-specific features to our products so that our community can explore with confidence and know that their watch has them covered—wherever and however they choose to get out there.”
As a part of its update, Suunto added new partners and services — Wikiloc, Land, 2Bulu, Open Runner, Sportihome, MyRadar — to help consumers plan new routes, keep updated on weather conditions and trends.
