Ombraz, the award-winning vanguard behind armless sunglasses, is proud to unveil its most performance-driven frame yet, The Refugio. Inspired by retro wraparound silhouettes and the go-hard mindset of endurance athletes, this sleek new style is made for long days where the sun doesn’t quit.

Named after the Italian word for “shelter” or “refuge,” the Refugio thrives on the singletrack, alpine ridgelines, desert scrambles, or the exposed shoulder of a mountain highway. It blends technical performance with Ombraz’s unmistakable aesthetic—armless comfort, dialed precision, and a look that turns heads.

With clean lines and full-wrap coverage, the Refugio offers a 100 percent UVA/UVB refuge that stays comfortably off the cheeks, making it ideal for high-output pursuits where airflow and visibility are crucial. Brand new, fully integrated Nose Pads offer subtle lift away from the brow to increase ventilation, reduce fogging, and prevent lens smudging from sweat and oil. The new nose pad design also caters to a wider array of face shapes. For adventurers pushing into harsh terrain or all-day exposure, removable Side Shields are available, as well as a removable UV Nose Shield that can be easily attached to the frame to protect from wind and sun.

“The Refugio is unlike anything we’ve released before—bold, technical, and built to perform,” says Jensen Brehm, Ombraz Co-Founder. “It’s the first frame that fully fuses our armless design with a true sport-forward, performance profile.”
