Bozeman, MT, October 17, 2019 — Oboz Footwear, the True to the Trail® outdoor footwear company headquartered in Bozeman, Montana, is sponsoring the 44th Annual Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival and the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour as the festival and tour’s exclusive footwear sponsor.

Oboz has also teamed up with its retail partner MEC to host Sunrise Hikes over the festival weekend.  On Saturday, November 2 they will hike Tunnel Mountain and on Sunday, November 3, the Hoodoos/Bow River Trail.  The hikes will depart from the Kinnear Centre at 7:30 AM.

“The festival and film tour are a great opportunity for us to engage with our core market and showcase our products in Banff’s wild and beautiful setting,” said Iain Massucci, Oboz Marketing Coordinator.

The Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival takes place from October 26 – November 3, 2019 at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Banff National Park. Over nine days, the Festival showcases tales of remote journeys, groundbreaking expeditions, and remarkable achievements, told by adventurers, photographers, authors, and filmmakers from around the world. Over 75 films will be presented with North American and World Premieres.

Highlights of this year’s festival include personal appearances by: Polish mountaineer Andrzej Bargiel, US climber Sasha DiGiulian, Swiss adventurer/explorer Sarah Marquis, climber/writer Mark Twight, and Canadian climber Sharon Wood.
