Seattle-based Mountain Safety Research (MSR) introduced the Hubba Hubba Bikepacking tent series for spring 2024 that takes its Hubba Hubba tent up a notch with cycle-specific elements.
“As we’ve seen the rapid growth of bikepacking in recent years, we are very excited to introduce our first-ever cycling-specific tent for this growing sport,” said Kyle Thackray, product line manager for MSR Tents, Winter and Poles. “What’s great about this tent is that it takes the legendary Hubba Hubba design, which provides a perfect blend of weight, durability and livable space, and adds cycling-specific features like shorter pole segments, increased vestibule space and a highly functional waterproof handlebar bag. As a long-time backpacker, I am excited to bring this product to market.”
The packable tent features a handlebar stuff sack that integrates with “nearly any handlebar shape” without taking up bar space and handlebar spacers to keep the bag steady and out of the way. Shorter segment poles (DAC NSL 8.5mm) fit between drops or in small spaces. The tent’s rectangular floor offers living space with extra headroom and large vestibules for cycling gear. Oversized gear lofts include interior and exterior clotheslines. Oversized storage pockets and construction using DAC poles and DuraShieldTM-coated fly and floors round out its features. The tent is available in 1- and 2-person options. For more product information, to here.
