Williston, VT, June 16, 2020 — Mammut, leading Swiss-born premium outdoors and mountain safety brand, is honored to partner with The Lady Alliance, a community providing opportunities for women to find empowerment through adventure and each other. Mammut, as an outdoor and safety-based brand bringing centuries of expertise in the climb, hike, ski, camp, and travel industries to outdoor participants, is perfectly positioned to partner with The Lady Alliance to amplify the community of adventure-seekers.
The Lady Alliance is a women’s empowerment community, dedicated to building confidence and community through adventure. The Lady Alliance offers adventure-based self-love and wellness retreats, events focusing on mental, emotional and soulful wellness, inspirational speaking conferences, outdoor courses, and online courses. The latter has been developed to include The Adventure Safety Tour, a virtual event on June 29th.
With a focus on wilderness first-aid, climbing, and community, The Lady Alliance x Mammut Adventure Safety event is a 2.5hr online experience that goes live at 8:00 am in each timezone of The Lady Alliance’s 29 chapters, from Vancouver to San Francisco, Washington to Saskatoon. Women and members from all over the United States and Canada can tune in to enjoy a plethora of skill-building, community focused immersive experiences, including the thrill of climbing through immersive content from Mammut pro-athlete Steph Davis and wilderness first-aid from Rocky Mountain Adventure Medicine Inc.’s wilderness first aid instructor, Alanna Thompson. Guest host Azzah Ahmad, host of the Az I Know It podcast and partner of The Lady Alliance, will moderate the event and facilitate an interview with guest Steph Davis to share experiences and inspire the viewers through community and connection.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Lady Alliance, a community of invested and passionate outdoors members, who are aligned with our vision to continue to amplify and diversify voices and experiences in the outdoors,” said Mammut Marketing Director, Maddie Petry. “Although we cannot experience our community in person right now, it’s more important than ever to continue to connect, converse and share education, across industries and channels, and we hope to inspire more womxn to continue their adventures in the great outdoors.”
This event is open free to all Lady Alliance members, which requires signing up at The Lady Alliance website or Facebook group and is donation-based for those who are not part of the community. All donations go to the non-profit Power To Be, an organization that empowers people living with a disability or barrier to access adventures rooted in nature.
“The Lady Alliance focuses on spreading love and knowledge to help build confidence and community through adventure. With this event, it is a win-win.” Said The Lady Alliance Founder, Kieren Britton. “Proceeds go to the incredible non-profit, while we further educate our community on safety in the outdoors. We are so excited to partner with Mammut to offer this event to our incredible community of womxn!”
