La Sportiva, the maker of mountain gear, introduces for spring 2024, the company’s Climbing On the Moon apparel collection, bringing back La Sportiva’s iconic 80s branding.
A limited-edition capsule collection, Climbing on the Moon, celebrates “the golden age of climbing, a time when climbing experienced groundbreaking transformation and left an indelible mark on the world. This period saw the release of revolutionary shoes such as the Futura and the Kendo, which helped athletes redefine what was possible, completing jaw-dropping first ascents across the globe,” said La Sportiva.
“The Climbing On the Moon line is a tribute to the golden years of climbing and celebrates the ethos on which the company was founded,” said Jonathan Lantz, president of La Sportiva North America. “Climbers are rebels. They are fueled by the desire to push their limits and are always looking to explore the boundaries of what is possible. Climbing On the Moon is about embracing innovation, daring greatly and refusing to accept the status quo. With a throwback logo and vintage colorways, this collection showcases the heritage and craftsmanship that has made La Sportiva a central part of the global climbing community.”
