Kokopelli, the Colorado-based creator of lightweight and packable inflatable kayaks, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with the launch of limited-edition Smoke Blue boats in the Rogue Lite and Nirvana Self-Bailing, and smoke blue Poudre Adventure paddle.
Founded in 2012 inside a garage in Denver, CO, Kokopelli has since become an award-winning designer and developer of packrafts for hiking, biking, fishing, and skiing, with retail distribution worldwide.
“The new colorway is inspired by the way mountains appear in a layered blue hue with that smoky-looking effect,” said Kyle Rajaniemi, marketing director. When you see it, you’ll know the look. Here on the front range, especially in the summer as the storms roll through the high country, there is that beautiful moment where we all stop and look. That feeling inspired this color.”
“We’re always looking for new and innovative materials and construction methods to enhance our boats’ performance and durability,” said Jeff Popp, director of product development. “To innovate on our core products and to provide our customers with some of the most durable and lightweight packrafts on the market is exactly what we’re all about.”
