Outdoor kids brand Isbjörn of Sweden reported that its Penguin Snowsuit won the Bäst-i-Test (Best in Test) award for the tenth consecutive year. The annual test is organized independently by the Scandinavian Online Test Institute Bäst-i-Test, but its kids who rigorously test the various snowsuits submitted for testing.
During the coldest winter months in Sweden, kids were asked to test Isbjörn of Sweden’s Penguin Snowsuit during various outdoor activities in freezing temperatures and snowy conditions. The snowsuits were then evaluated by parents and teachers after months of use, focusing on durability, functionality and ease of use.
Isbjörn’s bluesign-approved Penguin Snowsuit was honored for its durability, functionality and extended use. Grow cuffs on arms and legs are extendable by 3cm to grow with a child before the Penguin can be handed down to “at least three younger siblings and friends,” or sold on the second-hand market.
Penguin was also honored for its thermal performance, water and abrasion resistance, comfort and spacious fit. Younger kids noted they could play in the snow for an extended period and remain warm and dry, while the snowsuit gave them the independence to dress themselves with ease of on/off use.
Parents of the kids who participated in the five-month-long testing process said, “It’s great to see a snowsuit that matches and even exceeds the performance of any adult outdoor product.
