June 1, 2020 – Graphene Composites Limited (GC), a nano-materials technology company that produces a range of composites that are amongst the strongest, lightest, and most resilient materials available, and G-Form LLC (G-Form), a pioneer of comfortable athletic protective gear that is light, flexible to wear and hardens on impact to prevent injury, have created an alliance in Rhode Island to develop and distribute cutting-edge ‘Made in the USA’ new products that capture and kill Coronavirus.
Utilizing a breakthrough technology from GC, G-Form medical protective equipment and athletic gear/apparel will be pre-treated with a GC silver nanoparticle/graphene oxide ink application that captures and kills Coronavirus droplets that spread from an infected person. This is different to products that are currently available as it is the first product that will both capture and kill Coronavirus.

Two months ago, G-Form pivoted its Smithfield, RI manufacturing plant to the production of PPE face shields and has already produced more than 1 million units. As high schools, universities, and professional sports organizations actively plan to re-start their operations this summer, the measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus are paramount.

With pre-treatment of face shields and face masks, healthcare workers will now receive the highest level of protection available, making current PPE’s more effective which is a key priority to both companies. The products are in active testing at a leading Ivy League university and laboratories in both the UK and U.S., with patents pending. Once complete and successful, EPA approvals and production will immediately follow.
