Dynafit, a global leader and innovator in backcountry skiing, announced today that its new Blacklight Ski Touring Boots and Blacklight Pro Speed Binding will be available for the Winter 2025/26 season, developed especially for ambitious ski mountaineers with high standards for speed and performance.

The new Blacklight Ski Touring Boots are the first choice for all ski touring enthusiasts seeking a lightweight and efficient boot with strong downhill performance. The Blacklight offers a combination of innovative features and time-tested construction design, such as the patented Hoji Lock System, to be impressive both uphill and down.

With a weight of just 2.5 pounds (women’s model weighs 2.2 pounds) and a cuff rotation of 70 degrees, this boot guarantees fast, efficient climbing. And instead of a traditional tongue construction, the Blacklight Boot features an innovative Tech Gaiter that protects from cold and wind on high-alpine tours. The light, soft material with stretch and abrasion-resistant zones ensures a perfectly paired boot and gaiter.

For a precision fit in width at the cuff, the boot offers the Ultra Lock strap. Across the instep, it offers additional width adjustment with an additional buckle. Together with the thermo-moldable Dynafitter 5 boot liner, the Blacklight guarantees excellent fit and comfort from the first to the last meter of vert.

The new Blacklight Pro speed binding sets new standards in ski binding technology by constructing carbon fiber and aluminum. The ultralight yet extremely sturdy materials guarantee an ideal balance of weight, performance, and durability in a compact design, and The Blacklight Pro binding also makes possible two different walk modes based on feedback from experienced mountain guides, making completely flat walking just as easy as the use of additional risers for steeper passages.

An extra-wide foot plate and Step-in Side Towers on the aluminum toe pieces guarantee easy entry, and the time-tested Ice Breaker Pins keep snow and ice out of the inserts. In addition, the tension fork has a pin underneath that pushes firmly packed snow or small ice clumps from the binding. That guarantees that nothing gets in the way upon entry, and the binding closes securely. An extended excenter inspired by the skimo race series ensures ergonomically ideal opening and closing of the toe piece – whether by hand or a pole.

The use of ultralight high-performance carbon core and aluminum also promises an outstanding combination of lightness and stability. Especially noteworthy is the carbon technology at the heel unit: Its precision arrangement of fibers enables an unparalleled and extraordinary balance of compactness, rigidity, and durability.

In addition, the modular brake (included in the Blacklight Pro+ version) is locked and released using an easily understood mechanism. For climbs, an easily accessible lever is flipped to secure the brakes upon first stepping into the binding. Once at the summit, the mechanism can be released with a pole, making the brake ready for the descent.
