April 13, 2020 — Cotopaxi, Benefit Corporation, outdoor apparel and gear brand, and founders of the popular Questival event series, today announced Questival Quaranteam, a virtual adventure experience during the nationwide shelter in place/stay at home mandate. With the current global pandemic forcing collective isolation, cancellation of physical events, and a resounding unity throughout the outdoors and general consumer spaces, Cotopaxi is proud to offer a quarantine-style version of its epic adventure scavenger hunt.
Questival Quaranteam aims to expand on the original 24-hour Questival experience and create an interactive, engaging and safe experience for those seeking fun, adventure and connection during these isolating times. Kicking off on April 23, Cotopaxi will provide a list of creative challenges to complete, ranging in difficulty and possible points, and teams of 1 to 6 people (in the same household, or teams can be formed with others via video chat) have 72 hours to complete as many as possible.
Challenges will fall into categories such as Do Good, Adventure, Quirky, Fitness/Wellness, Teamwork, and most importantly, Family, and the experience is open to all ages, from kids to Grandparents. Using the Cotopaxi Quaranteam app, available on iPhone and Android, participants upload videos and pictures of completed challenges within the 72-hour timeframe. Teams from around the globe will not only compete against but also judge each other, and the top 10 teams will win coveted prizes totaling over $6,000 from Cotopaxi.

The original Questival is Cotopaxi’s community-driven and community-building adventure series, a 24-hour adventure scavenger hunt, tasking teams of 2-6 people with over 300 challenges that span categories such as quirky, foodie, fitness and social impact. Having launched in 2014, Questival expanded to over 50 stops in the series and is an immersive community-building component of the Cotopaxi brand.
