Fitness equipment company Precor has expanded its Woodinville presence
to five buildings comprising 270,000 square feet. The addition of the
95,000 square-foot operations facility reflects continued growth at
Precor, which has doubled its annual revenues since 2000, generating
$350 million in sales in 2006.

Precor said it employs more than 500 at the company’s Woodinville
headquarters and principal manufacturing facility, and a distribution
facility nearby in Maltby. Precor also operates a Valencia, CA
manufacturing facility and a number of offices internationally.

In Woodinville, Precor has earned State of Washington recognition for
best workplace processes and operating practices, in areas ranging from
environmental practices to workplace ergonomics. Workplace injury
statistics within Precor’s manufacturing operations are 75 percent
better than best-practice standards for fitness equipment manufacturing.

“From the production line to the office, everyone at Precor is
connected to our business goals, and embraces our culture of personal
accountability. The Woodinville team is phenomenal – we’re leading the
industry in product design and innovation, and are exceeding the
highest standards of workplace safety, ergonomics and manufacturing
efficiency,” said Precor president Paul Byrne. “We’re in the midst of
another outstanding year in virtually every aspect of the business, and
expect to remain on our steady growth path.”

Precor is a subsidiary of Amer Sports Corp. (www.amersports.com), the
world’s largest sports equipment company, with internationally
recognized brands Wilson, Atomic, Suunto, Precor, Salomon and Mavic.
