Athletic footwear industry veteran Dave Edwards has been appointed President and COO of Pony International LLC. In transactions completed recently, Infinity Associates LLC and Symphony Holdings Ltd. acquired 100% of Pony.
Edwards spent 19 years in several senior executive positions within the Nike organization, including Vice President Nike International Ltd., Vice President International/Managing Director Western Europe, Director of Global Footwear and Apparel Operations, and President of Nike Sports Korea.
Edwards commented that, “I am excited to have the opportunity to continue building Pony. The potential to develop both the heritage and performance product ranges of this dynamic 34-year-old brand is limitless. I look forward to establishing close relationships with Pony's customers, suppliers and partners around the world.”
California based Infinity Associates and Hong Kong based Symphony Holdings have teamed up in previous acquisitions, including Converse Inc. in 2001 and Haggar Corp. in 2005.
