Polo Ralph Lauren named former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker as its official brand ambassador for the Wimbledon championships. Polo Ralph Lauren is marking its second year as Official Outfitter of Wimbledon.
Becker will be wearing Ralph Lauren throughout the duration of the tournament in his role as a Wimbledon commentator and brand ambassador. He will also be launching the new exclusive Interactive Shopping Experience on behalf of Polo Ralph Lauren at the designer's London flagship store in late June. On 20th June, he will co-host a Wimbledon party at the flagship store at 1 New Bond Street.
“I have always loved Ralph Lauren clothing,” said Boris Becker. “The chic style of the clothes and the heritage of the brand make it the perfect match for Wimbledon.”
“We are thrilled to have Boris on board with Wimbledon, and proud to continue our partnership with this historic sporting event,” said David Lauren, Senior Vice President of Advertising, Marketing and Corporate Communications for Ralph Lauren.
As Polo Ralph Lauren celebrates its second year as Official Outfitter of Wimbledon, fashion returns to Centre Court with a modern array of sportswear inspired by tennis' most prestigious event. Capturing the tradition of luxury and the excitement of sport, the collection features apparel for all on-court officials, including chair umpires, line judges and ball persons, as well as new, sophisticated styles for everyday wear. Ralph Lauren is the first designer in Wimbledon's 130 year history to create and outfit official on-court tournament attire.
