Longworth Industries, parent company of XGO and Polarmax, has hired Sherry Lyons as director of global business development for Government and Military.
In her new position, Lyons will continue to develop XGO as a primary brand of base layers for the US government and military. She will leverage her 20 years of sales, marketing, operations skills to execute new programs and products to achieve corporate objectives for the XGO brand.
Randy Black, president of Longworth said, “Ms. Lyons is a solution-oriented sales and marketing professional with broad based experience. She will bring solid expertise to our company and the specifically the XGO brand by providing independent, hands on leadership to facilitate sales, sales management, and team building.”

Previous to Longworth, Lyons was COO at AL Employment. She has also held posts as director of corporate human resources for Parisian, Managing Director for Right Management Consultants, and Regional Vice President for ADECCO. A 1986 graduate of Auburn University, Lyons is looking forward to relocating to the sandhills of North Carolina to begin her new position.
