Point6 has added outdoor and ski industry sales rep veteran Tom Lane and the Alpine Sports group to its outside sales team.

Alpine Sports is based in California, and has an extensive 25-year record within the outdoor and ski industries. The Alpine Sports group, which consists of Tom Lane, Dave Lane and John Claussen, also reps other technical, quality-oriented products and brands including Asolo Footwear, LEKI, and Eider Ski Wear.

Lane and team will represent the Point6 brand throughout the Western territory, including the states of California, Nevada, and Arizona.

“It is great to be teaming up with such a veteran sales group,” said Peter Duke, founder of Point6. “Lane and team really understand the Point6 brand and our key differentiators, and that understanding assures expansion in both the outdoor market and the ski industry.  Their extensive knowledge of the territory and their limitless network of partners promises to further the Point6 brand within the Western territory.”

“Everyone is very excited to see Peter Duke back in the business,” said Tom Lane of Alpine Sports.  “And everyone has been impressed with the quality of the socks, the customer service and the flexibility of the company.”

Point6 exclusively uses 100-percent compact spun merino wool yarns, which surmounts durability issues present in other performance wool sock brands. Their new line of active, outdoor technical, lifestyle, cycling, running and snowsports socks incorporates this new spinning process to create an exceptionally soft and durable merino wool sock with unparalleled longevity. The hand-looped toe closures, deep-heel pocket and precise anatomical fit reinforce comfort and enhance performance.
