POC has added Dan Greenwood to its snow sports sales team, which is ramping up to launch the Swedish brand's new line of helmets and goggles as well as an avalanche pack.

A former U.S. Ski Team service manager for Tecnica, Volkl and Marker, Greenwoodwill represent the Swedish brands helmets and other ski products in California, Nevada and Arizona, beginning September 6. Greenwood currently serves as secretary of the High Fives Foundation, a POC partner, whose mission is “to raise money and awareness for athletes that suffer a life-altering injury while pursuing a dream in the winter action sports community.”

“Dana's energy and passion for brands make him a key asset for POC's Snow team,” states Jarka Duba, president of POC North America. “He brings to the table experience, great relationships and a driving desire to build strong partnerships with his retailer base.”

For Winter 2014/15, POC will introduce new technology across its helmet, pack and goggle lines. In addition to the award-winning Skull Orbic Comp H.I. MIPS, which features a sensor that monitors impacts, determining when a helmet should be replaced, POC will see its new Thorax 11 avalanche backpack, which features Jetforce technology, land on retail shelves later in 2014. Among POC's new helmet offerings are the Fornix Communication with Beats by Dr. Dre and Fornix BC MIPS Jeremy Jones Edition.

“I am thrilled to be joining such a fantastic brand with great momentum and great people,” said Greenwood. “The cutting edge technology POC provides the ski and snowboard market is so valuable and I'm very lucky to be a part of it.”

POC, which is owned by Black Diamond Inc. of Salt Lake City, launched its first line of road cycling helmets this spring.
