Players World of Sports, the retailer of tennis and pickleball products based in Hilton Head, SC, was acquired by Daryl and Kathy Daye of Bluffton, SC, and Jeff and Heather Yakes of Hardeeville, SC.
The Jilly family owned and operated the business for over 20 years.
Since 1982, Players World of Sports has served the Hilton Head Island area as an independent, family-owned business. At 38 Shelter Cove Lane on the island, the location sells racquets, paddles, apparel, court shoes, bags, and accessories.
Players World of Sports said, “The new ownership team, consisting of long-time family friends and business partners Daryl and Kathy Daye, as well as Jeff and Heather Yakes, share a deep passion for an active lifestyle and a strong commitment to the local community as residents of the Hilton Head area. Amy Wright will continue as the general manager of the store.
