Cicli Pinarello announced the opening of its new subsidiary in Shanghai. The company reported that the move will enable Pinarello to directly manage its operations in the Chinese market, working closely with its headquarters in Villorba, Italy.
The decision to establish a direct presence comes amidst a rapid expansion for the brand in the Chinese market, marked by the launch of 24 flagship stores.
The new entity, Pinarello China, Ltd., will be led by Roberto Vaglio, Haoyu Wu and Ruihua Shen. Pinarello said their contributions over the past two years “have been instrumental to the brand’s significant growth in the region, including the rollout of flagship stores.”
Pinarello China, Ltd. will be the company’s fifth directly managed subsidiary, joining existing operations in the U.S., the UK, Switzerland, and South Africa.
Pinarello Chairman Fausto Pinarello said: “I am incredibly pleased with this strategic decision, and I fully endorse it. Having recently visited the country and seen our beautiful new stores, I know this move will allow us to be even closer to the Chinese market and our valued customers there.
“We extend our sincere gratitude to Mania Trading, ActiveLife Shanghai, and Amber Shanghai for their many years of collaboration. Without their partnership, this significant milestone would not have been possible,” continued Pinarello.
Pinarello General Manager Stefano Sacchet said, “This is a crucial step in executing our long-term strategy, which aims to bring Pinarello closer to our end customers by streamlining our distribution. With the addition of China, Pinarello now directly manages its primary markets, right across the globe.”
